This is all the way into start of Cascade Valley –
Around 4.5 hours One Way from OR Back to Queenstown – The Road from Haast Turn Off, Past Port Jackson onto Arawhata River is a good road, beyond that into The Martyr River, Cascade Valley Drop off is slow, TECHNICAL AND A DRIVER MUST KNOW THE ROAD!
You will need to allow for weather – Most 
Hikers wont have a deep understanding of the West Coast Weather Patterns from down here, especially getting closer to April – But you need to be flexible for a departure day from Queenstown – Just allow a night or extra IF there is the typical Southern Ocean Artic Front hitting NZ – I KNOW, as I am a tail end Marshall Charlie for the yearly Routeburn Classic Mountain running event – Its can be blue sky at 9am, and snowing with minus 5degree killer windchill – 3 hours later!
A:
* Allow the usual shuttle time and return journey – 4.5 hours plus my driver and fuel etc..
* Minimum base charge- ONE WAY – as standard $589 (1,2,3 or 4 people) Add $129pp 5 and over to 11 maximum
* You can also Helicopter in from Haast Township for around $350pp – We sometimes transport people to Haast Township (25% less than prices above in A) (Not cheap, but some groups aren’t concerned about costs) – You would have to arrange that yourself with the Helicopter company based in Haast. (Helicopter from Queenstown or even Wanaka is around $450pp or $3000 per hour return helicopter flight time….  just from experience- Not a quote obviously)
B: Where are you planning on coming out of this epic tramp? – Lake Marion – Gunns Camp Car Park? End of Hollyford?
